This exquisite wine gets its color and depth of intrigue from allowing estate-grown Pinot gris to ferment on the skins for 36 hours (Pinot gris skins have color!). It starts in the vineyard, where the Pinot gris is farmed like high-end Pinot noir, specifically to allow more sun exposure to thicken the skins and develop great aromatic complexity and structure. Beautiful texture and beaming freshness with mouthwatering nectarine and mixed citrus, lavender and rose hips. Not that it matters (well, maybe a little), but the label is gorgeous too.
